Female Success Factor


Atlanta - March 2011 (pitchengine.com) - In honor of Women's History Month, the Steed Society, Inc. in conjunction with Rolling Out Magazine Presented Female Success Factor: "A Celebration of Successful Women Living Their Dreams". Female Success Factor featured a dynamic group of female entrepreneurs, corporate executives, entertainers and innovators who set the stage for a day of inspiration, motivation, and intimate panel conversation on Saturday, March 26th, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Atlanta History Center. This free seminar attracted participants and attendees from the corporate, civic, literary, media, independent and academic worlds to discuss professional growth and personal empowerment as it pertained to women and was open to the public.

Blake, Associate Director for the White House Office of Public Engagement. Michael Blake's Bio:

This Sunday, join Atlanta's Young Progressive Leaders as they host a welcome reception for Michael A. Blake, Associate Director for the White House Office of Public Engagement, from 5-7pm, at the Loews Hotel.

At only 28 years old, Michael Blake is one of the youngest and influential members serving in the Executive Office of the President. In his current capacity, Mr. Blake serves as the national director of outreach to communit...ies of color and the minority business community. He previously coordinated outreach to county officials, state attorneys general, secretaries of state and financial officers.

Michael Blake was recently selected as one of Grio’s Top 100 History Makers in the Making, where he was profiled alongside notables like Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed. He was also named as one of MSNBC’s 10 Black Politicians on the Rise.

Mr. Blake has a wealth of experience in the political arena. Prior to his current role with the White House, Michael worked as a member of the Obama for America campaign -- first as Iowa’s Deputy Political Director and Constituency Outreach Director, and concluding as the Michigan State Deputy Director and Political Director.

Michael is uniquely positioned to speak to the young professionals, activists, and community leaders of today on how they can best impact their community now. Please come out, this Sunday evening, to hear from one of our nation's most dynamic young progressive leaders.

My Pride | My Way Campaign

Atlanta (March 2011) - Celebrities, key influencers and beauty industry elite converged on the City of Atlanta for the national re-launch of African Pride's olive oil infused hair care product line and the kick off of their "My Pride. My Way" campaign on Wednesday, March 16th at the King Plow Arts Center. The Master of Ceremonies was Ebony Steele (Radio Personality/Rickey Smiley Morning Show) and the event was hosted by Toccara Jones (America's Next Top Model) and Lance Gross (House of Payne) with special performances by spoken word artist Mshairi Uwezo and So So Def Recording Artist Dondria. The event featured hair demonstrations and consultations by style experts, makeovers, conversations in hair and more.


The national campaign titled, "My Pride. My Way", encourages women to write their own rules when it comes to their hair. Special Appearances included: A.J. Johnson (Actress/Fitness Coach), Derek J (Bravo/BET), Dondria (So So Def), Duane Mclaughlin (actor, Days of our Lives), Kaira Akita (Tyler Perry/BET), Keshia Knight Pulliam (Tyler Perry). Mega Growth Personal Growth High School Tour


Mega Growth & The Garner Circle PR Presents Personal Growth High School Series



ATLANTA – (February 2011)- As Black History Month comes to a close, Mega Growth, a product of Strength of Nature™ and Nicole Garner, Founder of The Garner Circle PR, visited 4 Metro Atlanta high schools to promote “Personal Growth”, a high school lecture series throughout February empowering young women for success personally, academically and in their future careers. Schools included: Hapeville Charter High School, Millergrove High School, Tri-Cities High School and Columbia High School.


“It is critical to invest in the lives and ambitions of our youth; especially, during the economic changes our country is undergoing,” says Garner.Personal Growth panelists also included, Ronda Penrice, Author of African-Americans for Dummies and national magazine freelancer and Yolanda Owens, Owner of IwI Fresh skin care. Mega Growth Beauty Brand Ambassadors and Nicole Garner, Founder of The Garner Circle PR, are proud to be leaders in this community outreach initiative with hopes to add more schools to the tour in the future.
