ONE Musicfest 2011 Headlined by Grammy Award Winning songstress Chrisette Michele

ONE Musicfest 2011 Headlined by Grammy Award Winning songstress Chrisette Michele
and included performances by Tortured Soul, The Cool Kids, Anoop Desai, The Pharcyde, Anthony David, Foreign Exchange, and more

Atlanta - August 27, 2011 - One of the largest indoor/outdoor music festivals, ONE MusicFest attracted over 4,000 people for more than 12 hours of non-stop live music at the Park Tavern on Saturday, August 27th. The concert showcased artists like Chrisette Michele, Tortured Soul, The Cool Kids, Anoop Desai, The Pharcyde, Anthony David, Foreign Exhange and "Searching for The One" winner, Kyron Leslie. Summer's most anticipated concert series in the South East region, also featured culinary artist Chef Romero's "Crab & Shrimp Festival" . The Atlanta Music Project served as this year's philanthropic partner, collecting used instruments on-site for children in need.

"There is a lack of representation for soul, progressive hip-hop, alternative and rock, represented under one roof, in the format of music festivals in Atlanta. We have noticed that while there are many pockets of individuals that share taste in the same music, rarely do you see them share in this together. ONE Musicfest was created with the idea of music as the universal language. Over time, we aim to grow this fest into a phenomenon and bring together different sectors of individuals through a unique music platform," states J. Carter, Sol-Fusion Founder and ONE Musicfest Producer.

[Media Recap] The Green Room Actors Lounge Private Grand Opening Affair 8.18.2011

Terri J. Vaughn (Actress - Meet the Browns) and Rashan Ali (Multi-Media Personality) hosted a private opening soiree for Vaughn's newest concept lounge - The Green Room Actors Lounge. Nestled in the pockets of Buckhead, The Green Room Lounge takes its inspiration from the iconic LA based Samuel French theater and film bookshop. The Green Room Lounge's atmosphere pays homage to vintage Hollywood, fusing together unique light bites, an actor's bookstore, and a performance area all encased in a unique, relaxed atmosphere. The City of Atlanta has been dubbed the new "Black Mecca" for Arts & Entertainment and the private opening truly celebrated that at a very high level as the event was filled with fellow actors/actresses, industry executives and national recording artist. To commemorate the historical implications of this all new concept lounge coming to the city, the Atlanta Mayor, Kasim Reed was on hand to make a special presentation to the ownership team. Guests were guided through the evening with an impromptu jam sessions lead by host band Quinn and the Jukebox along with live performances by national recording artist: Angie Stone, Anthony David, Alexa Lieberman, Nicci Gilbert (formerly of Brownstone) and Soul for Real. This event will also benefit two nonprofit organizations: Take Wings Foundation & Colored My Mind.

The Green Room is the creative vision of actress, producer and owner Terri J. Vaughn and is co-owned by Business Manager and Attorney Shannon K. Nash, Film Producer Roger Bobb (BobbCat Films) and retired NBA Player, Adonal Foyle. An actor's haven, The Green Room Lounge will serve as a specialty theatrical bookstore and performance space . Reminiscent of an intimate living room space with a rich artistic aesthetic combined with rare cultural notes, the lounge boasts vintage chandeliers and fixtures; walls adorned with classic movie novelty to span a multitude of genres, and comfy seating and coffee tables to spark intimate conversations or private studying. The Green Room Lounge provides a place for established and burgeoning actors alike, musicians, and seasoned entertainment professionals seeking new talent. The lounge also includes a twenty five seat theater, equipped with stage, lights and sound equipment which will be used for conducting acting workshops, small performances and playing live music.
