Michael Blake's Bio:

This Sunday, join Atlanta's Young Progressive Leaders as they host a welcome reception for Michael A. Blake, Associate Director for the White House Office of Public Engagement, from 5-7pm, at the Loews Hotel.

At only 28 years old, Michael Blake is one of the youngest and influential members serving in the Executive Office of the President. In his current capacity, Mr. Blake serves as the national director of outreach to communit...ies of color and the minority business community. He previously coordinated outreach to county officials, state attorneys general, secretaries of state and financial officers.

Michael Blake was recently selected as one of Grio’s Top 100 History Makers in the Making, where he was profiled alongside notables like Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed. He was also named as one of MSNBC’s 10 Black Politicians on the Rise.

Mr. Blake has a wealth of experience in the political arena. Prior to his current role with the White House, Michael worked as a member of the Obama for America campaign -- first as Iowa’s Deputy Political Director and Constituency Outreach Director, and concluding as the Michigan State Deputy Director and Political Director.

Michael is uniquely positioned to speak to the young professionals, activists, and community leaders of today on how they can best impact their community now. Please come out, this Sunday evening, to hear from one of our nation's most dynamic young progressive leaders.
