In celebration of its three year anniversary, One Musicfest has grown from it's humble concert beginnings to include an interactive block party and food fest.  The all day outdoor concert will feature live performances by a diverse group of performers at the Masquerade Music Park.  Across the street at the Historic Fourth Ward Park, ONE Musicfest participants will enjoy nationally and internationally renown DJs, a specialty food truck park, vending from local businesses, Live Art, VIP tents and interactive gaming. This year ONE Musicfest brings in the talents of Santigold, Big KRIT, Marsha Ambrosius formerly of Floetry, Eric Roberson and legends of Hip-Hop, Big Daddy Kane, Slick Rick, Dougie Fresh, and MC Lyte. Santi White, better known by her stage name Santigold, recently released her second album - Master of My Make-Believe and will join ONE MusicFest for her first ever performance in Atlanta. Additional acts will be announced in the coming weeks.  Previous ONE MusicFest concert headliners include internationally acclaimed artists such as Common, De La Soul, Goapele, Chrisette Michelle, The Pharcyde, DJ Mick Boogie and a cornucopia of grassroots talent.  ONE Musicfest's mission of Unity Through Music earned the festival organizers the city of Atlanta's coveted "Phoenix Award."  Infusing artists and bands that will unify spectators through the universal language of sound, ONE Musicfest fills a necessary void in the city's music experience.

Curly Cam TV Launches in New Orleans 07.12

New Orleans (July 2012) - Curly Cam TV, a new natural hair web series launched in New Orleans during the 2012 Essence Music Festival to a room full of excited curly girls. The series, powered by beauty powerhouse Strength of Nature House of Brands (Beautiful Textures, African Pride, Profectiv, Elasta QP), features creator and host Kimberly Walker as she travels around the nation highlighting all things curly.
 
Debuting at the African Pride Beauty Suite, naturalistas were treated to a preview of the premiere episode, featuring curly bloggers, Adrienne Brown (Memyhairandthecity.com), Alexis Felder (Curlscoilsandkinks.com) and Tarin Boone (Fro Fashion Week). Show Me the Way Foundation signs on celebrity children to walk the runway for charity

(Atlanta, GA) The Show Me the Way Foundation and African Pride Dream Kids Hair Care are excited to welcome music royalty to the 2012 Runway Red: Safari Wonderland charity kids fashion show. The event is set to take place over ZOO Atlanta located at 800 Cherokee Avenue SE, Atlanta, GA 30315 at 7pm on Saturday, August 11, 2012. International superstar Akon’s sons will walk the runway along with the daughter of hip hop’s king of the south TI.  Former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield’s little one’s will participate and Chilli from TLC’s son will return for a repeat performance.

“I am always moved by the support from the celebrity community,” says Show Me the Way foundation executive director, Tashawnya Menefee. “We have worked with new celebrities every year and we also have some that have supported us again and again. I’m just thankful that they have a heart for our foundation and the children affected by HIV/AIDS that the foundation was created to assist.”

News of the upcoming celebrity kids fashion show has Atlanta buzzing after supermodel Cynthia Bailey (RHOA) hosted a model call on July 1^st for additional talent to accompany the celebrity children in the show. Over three hundred children ages 5-18 came out to audition for the chance to strut alongside the offspring of some of their favorite celebrities.  Menefee says she loves that the children participating are privy to an authentic production, and it has helped many of them find an inspiration to pursue modeling. “We have Runway Red alumni doing major productions and getting booked for commercials and productions in NY, etc.,” she states proudly.

Celebrity confirmations continue rolling in as the Runway Red staff prepares for a major production in less than thirty days.
