Curly Cam TV Launches in New Orleans 07.12

New Orleans (July 2012) - Curly Cam TV, a new natural hair web series launched in New Orleans during the 2012 Essence Music Festival to a room full of excited curly girls. The series, powered by beauty powerhouse Strength of Nature House of Brands (Beautiful Textures, African Pride, Profectiv, Elasta QP), features creator and host Kimberly Walker as she travels around the nation highlighting all things curly.

Debuting at the African Pride Beauty Suite, naturalistas were treated to a preview of the premiere episode, featuring curly bloggers, Adrienne Brown (Memyhairandthecity.com), Alexis Felder (Curlscoilsandkinks.com) and Tarin Boone (Fro Fashion Week). Actresses Tasha Smith and Cynthia Bailey of 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' also stopped by Curly Cam TV for a little hair dish.

In partnership with HalleysCurls.com, ten attendees were gifted $150 gift certificates for faux curlyextensions to spice up their transitioning stages with a funky protective style.

"With a fierce natural movement currently taking place, Curly Cam TV highlights not only the fabulous hair, but the lifestyle behind kinks, curls and waves. Fashion, diet and entrepreneurship play a huge role and I'll be covering really unique aspects of living the curly life," creator KimberlyWalker shares.

In a time where texture is all the talk, Curly Cam TV will showcase the diverse world of natural hair, including tutorials on blowouts, protective weaves, curly to straight styles, loc maintenance and tips from celebrity stylists. "At Strength of Nature, we celebrate women no longer being monolithic but applauding diversity in style while creating products that focus on healthy hair practices. We are excited about Curly Cam TV and look forward to sharing with a world wide audience," states Charlene Bastien (National Marketing Director, Strength of Nature).

In August 2012, the Curly Cam will travel to Chicago for a special episode with vloggers Meechy and Vaughn Monroe (The Monroe Sisters) and celebrity makeup artist Rachel O. To view current episodes visit www.CurlyCam.com and spread the word.
